These Things

I have a new addition to my collection of strange fashion which is this denim jacket lined with fur which I found at Captain's Helm in Costa Mesa.

Recently, someone asked me about my choice in footwear, and well here it is on display. It's not a big collection, but I'm a fan of having the essential things that I want and need. And as you can see, boots are such a necessity for me. My favorite however is a very close tie between my authentic Burberry Gladiator Sandals, my new Cherry Red Dr. Martens, and my Ben Sherman brown Leather Brogues.

I also have been reading these two amazing books recently, 120 Days of Sodom & Other Writings by the Marquis De Sade, given to me by my friend Allie, as well as Secret Historian, given to me by Ben. 120 Days of Sodom pretty much lists so many sexual depravities, and well, if you've seen/heard of Salò, you'll know. The second one is about a very interesting man. Samuel Steward, a close friend of Kinsey, who wrote beautiful sonnets, as well as detailing every sexual encounter he had with men, whilst running a tattoo parlor.

And lastly, my scent, here's what it is, Amber Absolute and Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. I couldn't help but fall in love with these colognes.

Nothing Scares Me Anymore

Yes! This album came out, favorite song on it is now mine! I know what album will be starting my vinyl collection

My Own Two Hands

The Kills, so many amazing songs. The lyrics for this one though, hits home on numerous levels. This is one of those tracks that seem to just linger in your thoughts.

I'm a Creep

New creepers that I just recently picked up from Captain's Helm in Costa Mesa. I was visiting Ariana and found this sexy pair. I've never really been too interested in creepers, but I saw them, and I've accepted the challenge.

Crazy Love

Amazing song, amazing video. These two just recreate the unique sound of the 80's dance music scene.

Nick Wooster

Due to my fascination with the feminine form and the underlying beauty in it's dramatic figure, it's difficult for me to find a man who captivates me with their style of dress. However, I recently came across Nick Wooster, who dresses so impeccably that I find much of my inspiration for outfits from him. Not only that, he carries his age very well, and being somewhat of a picky person, I personally find myself somewhat smitten by such a masculine yet, relaxed, and so very well-dressed man, who loks amazing in suits and in casual style. The definition of a "silver-fox".

Only Sour Cherry on Your Fruitstand

Yes! I came home from another day at work to see my Cherry Red Dr. Marten's came in finally!

Open up a beer

Can't get this lovely voice out of my head. The poetic flow of her lyrics just enrapture me full of emotions that empathize with the situation Lana Del Rey is writing about.

When you're going Downtown

Went up to West Hollywood to visit our friends up there for a delicious brunch and chat. Visited a lovely bookstore called Book Soup. On the way back I got so hungry we stopped at Thai Gulf and had some amazing food. Also listened to a relationship crumble and end at the table right next to us.

XX&Rihanna

As always, the XX's song, "Intro" makes everything better.

Back Again

Went back to San Francisco the past weekend for a nice escape from the OC. Stopped in FResno and discovered a fairly good Thai place called Thai Country. We finally got to SF after a nice 6 hour drive and we stayed at the lovely Hotel Tomo. That weekend was amazing, bar crawling through Castro and Folsom, seeing Tritonal finally (an amazing group introduced to me a la my brother), and seeing friends I haven't seen for a while.
